Job summary

NHS Fife invites applications for Band 7 Practice Pharmacist or Band 6 Foundation Pharmacist to join our dynamic Primary Care Pharmacy Team in Fife. You will work with GP practices to optimise medicines, perform reviews, and provide prescribing support, with independent prescribing activity when qualified.

This is a role built on collaboration and high-quality, person-centred care. Full-time hours (36h) are available with part-time options considered, and we offer extensive training, mentorship

Qualifications

• Qualified pharmacist with registration and good clinical skills.
• Experience in primary care or hospital/community settings preferred.
• Ability to work within GP practices and multi-disciplinary teams.

The post is offered as a Band 7 Practice Pharmacist position, with the option of a Band 6 Foundation Pharmacist role for suitable candidates. With prescribing fully embedded across the service, you’ll have the opportunity to utilise your clinical skills every day.

You Will

• Provide high quality pharmaceutical care to patients in GP practices and community settings
• Deliver structured medication reviews, polypharmacy reviews and undertake independent prescribing
• Offer specialist medicines advice to clinicians and patients
• Support safe, effective and cost effective prescribing
• Participate in quality improvement, audits, guidelines and service development
• Work collaboratively across the primary care and community pharmacy interface
