UNC Health Johnston Foundation seeks a Development Coordinator to manage all office activities, donor processing, gift acknowledgments, and the donor database, while coordinating special events and annual giving efforts in collaboration with Foundation leadership, Board, and volunteers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Two years of related nonprofit volunteer, fundraising and leadership experience (or more).
• Associates degree with six years of related nonprofit experience; high school diploma with ten years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Director with coordination of foundation activities.
• Coordinate Foundation Board and Committee meetings and prepare minutes and materials.
• Organize and maintain department records, files, and supplies.
• Develop and implement an annual giving plan including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Ensure proper stewardship of gifts, including gift accounting and donor database management.
• Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and correspondence; identify potential donors and cultivate relationships.
• Coordinate direct mail for annual donors; oversee marketing for annual campaigns (printed materials, emails, social media, website).
• Plan and implement donor cultivation and stewardship events; educate donors and volunteers about planned giving strategies.
