Job summary

The Childrens Home Society Of North Carolina Inc seeks a Child-Focused Recruiter to locate permanent, loving homes for youth in foster care. You will network with families, DSS staff, and community partners to support permanency goals including guardianship or adoption.

Responsibilities include outreach, planning, case coordination, and ensuring documentation and data reporting meet program standards. Some evenings/weekends and local travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in human services; adoption/foster care preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse partners and resources.

Responsibilities

• Identify permanent homes for youth and explore family connections.
• Engage with DSS staff, resources, and community partners for planning.
• Maintain documentation, data collection, and reporting per model.
• Provide outreach and referrals to recruit potential families.
• Travel as needed to support youth in permanency planning.
