Job summary

Ennis Center For Children is seeking a Foster Parent Recruiter on a contractual basis, primarily remote, with a $25.00 per hour rate. The role requires residency in Michigan and involves coordinating recruitment events and partnerships to meet county needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the local MDHHS office, faith-based communities and key foster/adoptive/kinship parents to meet county recruitment needs and goals.
• Collaborate with community partners including faith-based organizations, tribes, LGBTQIA+ communities, schools and hospitals to reflect community diversity.
• Send contact information for prospective foster/adoptive parents to the appropriate county office or statewide recruitment number.
• Utilize recruitment materials produced or approved by relevant authorities.
• Participate in MDHHS committees, meetings and advisory councils as needed.
• Present information on the foster home licensing process at civic clubs, organizations, churches, and community events.
• Input and maintain contact information in the county recruitment tracking spreadsheet.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position: Foster Parent Recruiter Contractual

Applicant must live in Michigan

Position is remote and contractual with a contracted rate of $25.00 per hour.

The Ennis Center for Children has been in operation since 1978 and has helped numerous children throughout the state of Michigan! This is a professional position that coordinates the scheduling, staffing and facilitation of all recruitment events required by contract. Shall coordinate or provide service in accordance with the requirements of the contract, State, and Federal regulatory and/or other accrediting agencies.

• Experience as a foster parent or relevant experience in child welfare.

• Collaborate with the local MDHHS office, faith-based communities and key foster/adoptive/kinship parents implement recruitment services prepared by the county office to meet the county’s overall recruitment needs, goals, and the actions steps.
• Collaborate with community partners including faith-based organizations, federally recognized tribes, LGBTQIA+ community. Schools, hospitals, and other community-based stakeholders interested in supporting foster/adoptive family recruitment that reflects the diversity of their community.
• Send contact information for prospective foster and adoptive parents to the appropriate local county office or statewide recruitment telephone number as appropriate.
• Utilize recruitment material produced and/or approved by MDHHS External Affairs and Communication Administration.
• Participate in committees, meetings and advisory councils as deemed necessary by MDHHS.
• Present and distribute information on the foster home licensing process at civic clubs, organizations churches, and community events.
• Input and maintain contact information in the appropriate county recruitment outcome tracking spreadsheet.
• Maintains a flexible work schedule.
• All other duties as assigned.
