Job summary

SAFY's Cincinnati division is seeking a Full-Time Foster Home Worker who is passionate about helping children, supporting foster families, and strengthening communities. You will handle clinical documentation, licensing, and compliance activities across assigned foster homes.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related human services field and at least one year of relevant experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• One year of relevant experience with child welfare.
• Valid driver license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance to meet travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete case notes documenting monthly contacts to assigned foster homes without placements.
• Complete Environmental Audits (OH) for all Foster Homes without placements.
• Collaborate with Case Manager to complete Foster Parent evaluations annually.
• Conduct annual Foster Parent evaluations for Homes without youth.
• Complete annual paperwork for all foster homes and manage dissemination of documents for homes with placements.
• Complete Home Studies or Amendments and collect paperwork for amendments.
• Amendments required for moves into or out of the foster home; signed off by Supervisor.
• May complete licensing-related Rules Investigations of foster homes.
• Track Foster Parents training hours and ensure compliance with SAFY policies.
• May conduct Large Family Assessments for 5+ youth in Foster to Adopt homes.
• Complete ITNA annually.
• Conduct foster parent training.
• Update pre-service registration spreadsheet within 24 hours of training.
• Attend Growth & Development Meetings.
• Provide trainings to applicants/foster parents on using various systems.
• Offer document assistance sessions to aid in licensing.
• Understand forms/docs for licensing processes.
