Job summary

4KIDS is seeking a compassionate Residential Manager in Fort Lauderdale, FL to lead neighborhood foster home programs and support staff. You will supervise house parents, ensure safety, and align with our mission of home, healing, and hope for children in care.

The role requires trauma-informed practice, a relevant degree, and 2+ years supervisory experience in child welfare, with willingness to obtain Florida welfare certifications. Flexibility for after-hours work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in social work or related field is required.
• Trauma-informed care knowledge is required.
• Minimum of two years supervisory/child welfare experience preferred.
• Florida Child Welfare certification or willingness to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, training, and ongoing support to house parents and direct-care staff.
• Foster a healthy, effective, and collaborative team environment through regular communication, guidance, and support.
• Coach and equip house parents to respond effectively to crisis situations and the needs of children and youth in care.
• Provide timely support and guidance to house parents when urgent or complex situations arise.
• Spiritually lead staff through Scripture, prayer, and Biblical principles while modeling 4KIDS mission and values.
• Ensure Neighborhood Foster Homes operate in compliance with policies, licensing requirements, and standards.
• Exercise sound judgment regarding placement decisions considering residents' needs.
• Attend court hearings and meetings to advocate for residents and support house parents.
• Assist with transportation of residents when needed.
• Track and report program metrics to leadership.
• Participate in and oversee crises or after-hours needs as required.
