Qualifications

• Must align with Josiah White’s mission, Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Bachelor’s degree required and at least one of: 3 years casework, 1 year in a licensed child placing agency, or 1 year of graduate social work training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, assess, and license prospective foster parents in accordance with Indiana regulations and agency standards.
• Evaluate abilities and therapeutic capacity of foster parents via interviews, home studies, and references.
• Maintain licensing records and ensure documentation, training hours, and compliance.
• Provide ongoing support and retention efforts through regular communication, home visits, and problem solving; promote outreach in churches and community.
• Coordinate pre-service and in-service training to meet state requirements and develop caregiving skills.
• Collaborate with program staff to match foster children with families and support placements.
• Advocate for foster parents’ needs and rights and ensure access to resources and guidance.
• Maintain professional relationships while upholding confidentiality and Christian values.
