Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recruit, assess, and license prospective foster parents in accordance with Indiana state regulations and agency standards.
• Evaluate abilities and therapeutic capacity of potential foster parents via interviews, home studies, and reference checks.
• Maintain and update foster home licensing records and ensure documentation, training hours, and compliance standards are met.
• Provide ongoing support and retention for licensed foster parents through regular communication, home visits, and problem-solving assistance.
• Coordinate and facilitate pre-service and in-service training to meet Department of Child Services requirements.
• Collaborate with Program Manager, Intake Coordinator, and Family Specialists to match foster children with appropriate families.
• Advocate for foster parents’ needs and rights to access resources and guidance.
• Maintain professional relationships with foster families, staff, agencies, and community partners while upholding confidentiality and values.
