The State of Vermont Department for Children & Families, Family Services Division, Barre Office, seeks a resource coordinator to support foster care placement assessments, respite resources, and recruitment of foster parents. You will coordinate with the family service worker to identify relatives and supports and provide foster care orientation to prospective parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of human services work or community resource development.
• 1+ year of graduate credits in a related Master's/Doctorate program.
• 4 years of child welfare experience in recruiting, training and retaining foster families.

Responsabilités

• Provides on-going support for licensed foster parents through visits, telephone contacts and home visits.
• Acts as district liaison to local foster parent association.
• Participates in the development of foster parent contracts including work scope and payment rates.
• Ensures foster families respect the cultural, ethnic and spiritual values of the families we serve.
• Follows the Diligent Recruitment (DR) process for recruiting, retaining, and supporting kin and foster families and tracks recruitment data.
