Job summary

Caritas Family Solutions in Illinois is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to coordinate with DCFS, youth, birth families, foster parents, and other identified supports to facilitate permanency for youth in care. You will visit with child and family teams as required and work to identify barriers to permanency and secure needed supports.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, two years’ experience, and a Child Welfare Employee License.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience in specialized casework.
• Child Welfare Employee License required.

Responsibilities

• Provides case management services to children and families in foster care.
• Maintains placements to ensure safety and permanency.
• Documents contacts and case notes accurately.
• Links youth and families to community resources.
• Engages families and service providers in treatment.
• Participates in meetings with DCFS and relevant parties.
• Testifies in court hearings as required.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
