Ennis Center for Children seeks a Foster Care Licensing Supervisor to oversee the licensing program at Flint and Saginaw locations. The position is salaried/exempt and begins at $58,000 annually, with responsibilities including liaisonduties between staff and foster parents, recruiting and certifying foster homes,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services with 1 year social services experience, or BA in human services with 2 years’ experience.
• Prior experience in a child placing agency is preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule with regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned program team staff.
• Assist in selecting and hiring program staff per agency policies.
• Facilitate staff meetings in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure timely completion of trainings on policy and procedures per MDHHS.
• Supervise subordinates and administer disciplinary action when necessary.
• Ensure fair performance reviews in line with agency policies.
• Perform other agency-related duties as assigned.

Position: Foster Care Licensing Supervisor

Position will be responsible for our Flint and Saginaw location.Must be willing to commute to both locations.

Status: Salaried/Exempt

Starting Salary: $58,000 annually

This is a professional position that provides as the initial contact for all referrals for new foster care placement in accordance with contract compliance and/or acts as a liaison between foster care staff and foster parents by recruiting, certifying, and training foster parents.

General Description

Under general supervision of the Licensing Director, plans, develops, organizes, and manages the daily operations of the assigned licensing program or department within the expected parameters of the agency and all other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.

Reporting Relationships

This position reports directly to the Licensing Director.

Qualifications (required at time of offer)

• Master’s degree in human services field and one year of experience as a social services worker, or bachelor’s degree in human services field and two years’ experience as required by the State’s licensing guidelines.
• Prior experience working in a child placing agency preferred (but may be required by specific program contract or regulations).
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, with “regular” business hours set by the Agency.

Supervisory

• Directly supervises assigned program team staff.
• Aids in selecting and hiring Program team staff in compliance with the Agency’s Employment Policies & Procedures and Standards of Conduct.
• Facilitates various staff meetings in a professional and timely manner.
• Facilitates and ensures timely completion of ongoing trainings on policy and procedures as outlined MDHHS for staff, foster parents, and others as deemed necessary.
• Conducts general regular (at minimum bi-weekly, increased if needed) supervision of subordinates and administers appropriate disciplinary action when necessary, in compliance with the Agency’s Employment Policies & Procedures and Standards of Conduct.
• Ensures that performance reviews of subordinates are completed fairly and accurately and in compliance with the Agency’s Employment Policies & Procedures and Standards of Conduct.
• Performs other Agency-related duties as assigned.
