ENNIS CENTER FOR CHILDREN, INC. in Detroit is seeking a Foster Care Licensing Specialist. This professional role serves as the initial contact for referrals and coordinates recruitment, certification, and training of foster parents across multiple counties within the agency service area.

The position involves licensing duties, court involvement when required, and ongoing policy training with MDHHS requirements. A flexible schedule may include evenings and weekends, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field as required by licensing guidelines.
• Experience in a child placing agency preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory completion of all employment eligibility and agency hiring requirements.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, license and retain foster parents across counties in the service area.
• Recruit and prescreen applicants to determine eligibility as foster parents.
• Plan and implement monthly recruitment events.
• Travel across counties and assist with licensing across offices.
• Provide 24-hour crisis on-call availability on a rotating basis.
• Ensure state compliance of foster homes and complete licensing/renewal docs.
• Complete timely reports, filings, and data for agency.
• Identify suitable foster homes and ensure compatibility for licensing.
