Job summary

Four Oaks Family And Childrens Services in the Ankeny/Des Moines area is seeking a Foster Care Licensing Caseworker to guide families through the licensing process and provide ongoing support. You will conduct home visits and complete unbiased home studies for prospective and current foster and adoptive families, building strong relationships with Resource Families.

You will work with Iowa HHS, JCS, and community partners to ensure licensing compliance, support adoptions, and coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required, plus one year of related experience.
• Knowledge of foster care and adoption systems preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Help families get started by connecting with prospective foster families and guiding licensing.
• Conduct home visits and complete home studies for prospective and current families.
• Support Resource Families with guidance, encouragement, and resources.
• Assist with placement referrals and assess family strengths and needs for appropriate homes.
• Travel throughout the Ankeny/Des Moines area to meet families and attend meetings.
