Job summary

Epworth Children's Home, Inc. in South Carolina is seeking an Intake Coordinator to drive growth of our foster care program and oversee foster home licensing and placements.

You will screen, log, and refer prospective foster families, and coordinate applications including references, SLED checks, CPS checks, medicals, fingerprinting, and inspections. Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Human Service field or a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year experience in working with clients in foster care.
• Prefer a minimum of four (4) years of experience working with children and families, three (3) of which should be with children in foster care.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year in a counseling or social work capacity.
• Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.

Responsibilities

• Grow the foster care program by conducting foster home investigations per DSS regulations and overseeing placement into licensed homes.
• Meet licensing goals for prospective foster parents monthly and placements of children into licensed homes through screening, logging and referrals.
• Facilitate orientation and interviews with prospective foster families.
• Process foster family applications within required time frames (references, SLED, CPS check, medicals, fingerprinting, inspections).
• Conduct licensing studies for foster home applicants at licensure and re-licensing within caseload.
