Epworth in South Carolina seeks an Intake Coordinator to manage foster care growth, oversee placement, and ensure regulatory compliance in licensing processes. The role involves coordinating screening, referrals, and interactions with prospective foster families within a faith-based program.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and experience in foster care or counseling/social work, and are committed to serving children and families in a Christian community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Human Service field or a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year experience in working with clients in foster care
• Prefer a minimum of four (4) years of experience working with children and families, three (3) of which should be with children in foster care
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year in a counseling or social worker capacity
• Has a belief system and engages in faith practices compatible with United Methodist Church

Responsibilities

• Oversee foster care growth activities and foster home investigations per DSS regulations
• Meet monthly licensing goals and place children in licensed homes via screening and referrals
• Facilitate orientations and interviews with prospective foster families
• Process foster family applications within required time frames (references, checks, medicals)
• Conduct licensing studies for licensure and re-licensure of foster homes
