Wellspring Lutheran Services in Gaylord, MI, is seeking a Foster Care Supervisor to lead a team of professionals dedicated to safety, permanency, and well-being for children in the foster system. You will coach staff, coordinate with families, and ensure compliance with licensing and contracts.

The role requires a Master’s in social work (or Bachelor’s with 3+ years in the field), strong leadership, and collaborative skills to support partners and communities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or a related field (preferred) or a bachelor’s with at least 3 years of field experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience with children and families.
• Knowledge of child welfare practices and foster care programs.
• Strong leadership, supervision, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to strength-based, family-centered practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of foster care professionals serving children, foster families, biological families, and partners.
• Provide coaching, supervision, and support to build staff confidence and skills.
