Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, via WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks a Fossil Plant Outage Planner for a 6–12 month contract. The role focuses on overhaul planning for the Combined Cycle fleet, with stockholder interface across site personnel and central maintenance teams.

The position is based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, with possible relocation to a fossil site in Florida; W-2 contract, competitive hourly compensation, and standard benefits. Strong PM and procedure writing skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior Power Plant Maintenance and Planning experience.
• Experience with IBM Maximo.
• Bachelor's in engineering.
• Technical procedure writing proficiency.
• Possession of a Quality Belt.
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical maintenance work order packages for overhaul projects.
• Perform jobsite walk-downs and scope validation; establish cost and schedule estimates.
• Support procurement of materials and services; develop execution procedures.

About the role: Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410

We're looking for a Fossil Plant Outage Planner on behalf of our client. This is a 6-months to 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will join the Central Maintenance Planning team to support overhaul planning of the Combined Cycle Power Generation Fleet. Routine interface with site personnel, fleet engineering, and the central maintenance organization.

This position is planned to be based out of Palm Beach Gardens, but working from one of the Fossil Sites within Florida will be considered based on experience and capabilities of the candidate selected and requires hiring manager approval.

Key Responsibilities:

This position requires the capacity to manage a large workload, flexibility when priorities shift, and drive to meet (or beat) established Major Maintenance Process commitments. This role will be responsible for development of job specific Mechanical Maintenance Work Order packages for Overhaul Projects by (but not limited to):

• Performing jobsite walk-downs and scope validation
• Supporting procurement of materials and services
• Develop procedures for execution of work.
• Establishing accurate work order cost and schedule estimates
