Job summary

Zero Point, Incorporated is seeking a Forward ECM Electronic Technician in North Carolina to provide intermediate maintenance for USSOCOM ECM systems, including Thor/PLT5, MMBJ, Egon, and Modi variants.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant ECM maintenance, formal training in electronic systems, and the ability to travel up to 180 days overseas. Candidates must hold a TS clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to work with minimal supervision in deployed environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant and recent ECM maintenance experience.
• Formal training in electronic system installation, operations, maintenance, and repair; operation of diagnostic equipment.
• Formal training with maintaining and upgrading software-defined electronic systems, including firmware, software, and configuration changes.
• Experience in deployed DoD or U.S. Government environments with limited life support conditions.
• Experience with maintenance records and equipment/hand receipts, both manual and electronic.
• Secret or Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
• Ability to travel overseas up to 180 days and be medically cleared.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to USSOCOM FOSOV Field Service Representatives and military personnel in overseas locations.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades, system calibration, fault isolation, and operator training.
• Coordinate with military leadership and the Government program office to brief capabilities and ensure alignment with unit requirements.

Position Objectives and Minimum Qualifications

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Provide intermediate maintenance for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) portfolio of ECM systems, including but not limited to all variants of the Thor/PLT5, MMBJ, Egon, and Modi.

• Performing direct support maintenance on ECM and/or related tactical communications equipment - must have at least 5 years relevant and recent experience.
• Must have formal training in electronic system installation, operations, maintenance, and repair; operation of diagnostic equipment; and troubleshooting of complex systems.
• Must have formal training with maintaining and upgrading software-defined electronic systems, to include installing firmware, software, and changing configurations.
• Must have experience working in a deployed environment with minimal life support conditions for extended duration in support of DoD or other U.S. Government elements.
• Must have experience with maintenance records, such as inspection worksheets, maintenance requests, equipment registers, etc., whether manual or electronic.
• Must have experience with property accountability records, such as hand receipts, turn-in documents, shipping documents, etc., whether manual or electronic.
• Must possess a Secret or Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
• Must be capable of being medically cleared to travel to overseas areas for up to 180 days
• Must be capable of operating independently, traveling alone, and fulfilling all assigned tasks with little supervision.
  

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to the USSOCOM Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) Field Service Representatives (FSR) and military members in overseas locations.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades, system calibration, fault isolation, and provide training to operators and unit level maintenance personnel.
• Interact with military leadership, from team level through brigade-equivalent command, to provide capability briefs and perform coordination between the units and the Government program office.
