Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Forward Deployed Strategist based in United States.

The Forward Deployed Strategist is a business-first consulting role focused on turning complex business challenges into high-value data and AI opportunities.
You will work directly with executives, functional leaders, and frontline teams to understand how work gets done and uncover opportunities for improvement.
The role combines consulting, product thinking, value mapping, user-centered discovery, and hands-on technology experimentation.
You will translate ambiguous problems into clearly defined use cases, business cases, hypotheses, and actionable MVPs.
Working alongside technical teams, you will prototype solutions, validate value, and help organizations move from ideas to scalable AI-enabled workflows.
This is a high-ownership position within a small, agile team where speed, judgment, and measurable business impact are highly valued.
The role is ideal for an experienced consultant who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, technology, and real-world business transformation.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead client discovery through interviews, workshops, working sessions, and art-of-the-possible discussions to understand business challenges, operational constraints, stakeholder dynamics, and workflow realities.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value AI and data opportunities by examining manual, complex, cross-functional, and inefficient business processes.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured problem statements, use cases, hypotheses, MVP scopes, and practical paths toward validation.
  • Define measurable success criteria using KPIs, ROI logic, adoption metrics, cycle-time improvements, risk reduction, and time-to-value considerations.
  • Build trusted relationships with executives, functional leaders, managers, and end users while facilitating alignment and productive decision-making.
  • Develop compelling executive narratives, recommendations, and business cases that connect technology opportunities to broader business priorities and technology roadmaps.
  • Bridge business and technical teams by clarifying requirements, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, timelines, and the path from MVP to scalable implementation.
  • Use AI-assisted, low-code, no-code, analytics, and workflow tools to prototype and iterate solutions rapidly.
  • Collaborate closely with technical specialists to bring validated ideas to life and ensure business value is clearly communicated to stakeholders.
  • Identify data, platform, workflow, organizational, and operating-model gaps that could prevent successful solutions from scaling.
  • Drive adoption-minded solution design and help clients rethink processes and ways of working, not simply implement new tools.
  • Serve as the business-facing lead for engagements, helping manage scope, risks, priorities, milestones, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain alignment around decisions and next steps while moving discovery, prototyping, and scaling initiatives toward measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with client and internal teams to transition validated concepts toward scalable delivery and broader organizational impact, including working onsite with clients when needed.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of consulting experience, ideally with a focus on technology-enabled transformation, business optimization, or process improvement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive storytelling, workshop facilitation, active listening, and business-case development.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and trust with executives, functional leaders, and end users in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
  • Strong consulting presence, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively, facilitate productive discussions, and guide stakeholders toward practical decisions.
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguous business challenges into structured problem statements, use cases, hypotheses, and MVP definitions.
  • Strong understanding of how to connect technology opportunities to measurable business value through KPIs, ROI, adoption, efficiency, risk, and time-to-value metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to progress from business requirements to prototypes, pilots, and scalable solutions.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI copilots, analytics platforms, workflow technologies, and low-code/no-code tools for discovery, experimentation, and validation.
  • Strong user empathy and willingness to immerse yourself in operational realities, including exceptions, workarounds, and organizational friction.
  • High ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to make meaningful progress despite incomplete requirements or ambiguity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, engineering, information systems, design, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • An MBA or equivalent graduate business degree is preferred.
  • Exposure to modern data and AI platforms, self-service analytics, workflow automation, or low-code/no-code technologies is a plus.
  • Experience developing business cases for technology investments and influencing executive stakeholders is desirable.
  • Experience working with engineers, solution architects, or delivery teams in consulting or client-service environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with change management, adoption planning, or operating-model design is an advantage.
Benefits:
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • High degree of ownership and autonomy within an agile, collaborative consulting environment.
  • Opportunity to work directly with senior business stakeholders on complex data and AI transformation initiatives.
  • Hands-on exposure to emerging AI, analytics, workflow, and low-code/no-code technologies.
  • Opportunity to influence how organizations adopt AI and translate emerging technology into measurable business outcomes.
  • Collaborative environment focused on learning, innovation, and meaningful client impact.
  • Career development opportunities within a rapidly growing data and AI consulting organization.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to diversit
