Palantir Technologies in New York is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, New Grad, to join its innovative team. This role emphasizes real ownership and autonomy from day one, where engineers engage directly with customers and tackle meaningful challenges.
Successful candidates will have an engineering degree and proficiency in programming. Expect to travel 25–50% to client sites, embracing a dynamic and high-impact environment that pushes the boundaries of technology.
Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.
Forward Deployed Engineering is a radical commitment to the outcome. This is Palantir’s operating ethos. We represent a departure from the traditional software delivery paradigm, which hinges on selling prepackaged solutions and doing what is minimally viable to accrue revenue.
From hospital to factory floors, Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) embed themselves in the customer’s reality fully, until the problem is theirs. This requires walking many miles in a customer’s shoes, having the agency to build past the perimeter of what a product currently offers, and deviating from every existing formula to win. It requires delivering real outcomes.
You are allowed expected to use your agency. You are allowed expected to respect the problem. You are allowed expected to run towards the fire.
To turn AI into meaningful value for an enterprise, to deliver tangible outcomes, and to ruthlessly seek out the ground truth and build opinionated solutions.
As a New Grad, you will be entrusted with responsibility on day 1. You will not be handed a ticket queue. You will not be shielded from the customer, the chaos, or the consequences. FDEs are entrusted with real ownership, operating with real autonomy, and held to a real standard, no matter their tenure.
The work is difficult. The stakes are not simulated. You will work in small, high-trust teams and own projects end-to-end, from the first conversation with a customer to shipping the product that changes how they operate.
The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000 - $145,000 per year. Total compensation may also include Restricted Stock units, sign‑on bonus, and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation will be determined by each individual’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign‑on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long‑term incentives.
