Fuze HR Solutions Inc. in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to support defense and national security customers with mission-critical software deployed in air‑gapped, on‑premise environments.

You will partner with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to define requirements, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot systems, and ensure reliability across Linux, containerized apps, and Kubernetes while traveling up to 25% and maintaining an active clearance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Active U.S. security clearance: Secret or Top Secret.
• Experience deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Strong Linux systems experience, including administration and networking.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, Bash, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical software systems in operational environments.
• Work directly with defense and national security customers to understand technical and mission requirements.
• Support software deployments in on-premise, air-gapped, resource-constrained environments.
• Debug Linux, networking, infrastructure, Kubernetes, and application-level issues.
• Manage configuration, alerts, monitoring, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
• Provide timely technical support to customers while minimizing disruption.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams.
• Travel as needed to support customer and mission requirements.
