Job summary

Code and Theory is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Product Manager to guide a pod of 4–5 FDPMs across client deployments, setting the standards for requirements, prototypes, and workflows. This role anchors the relationship with Technical Account Managers and implementation leads, reviews work before it reaches clients or engineering, and builds a shared playbook for reuse across deployments.

You’ll stay hands-on to unblock deployments when needed and help generalize patterns into the core

Qualifications

• Experience as a forward-deployed PM or equivalent in client-facing environments.
• Proven track record leading a workstream or informal team in fast-moving settings.
• Strong systems thinking with ability to generalize patterns across client contexts.

Responsibilities

• Set and enforce a consistent bar for requirements quality and prototyping across the pod.
• Unblock FDPMs on ambiguous requirements by making the call or escalating.
• Own relationships with Technical Account Managers and implementation leads at the program level.
• Review workflows, prototypes, and briefs before client or engineering handoff.
• Identify recurring patterns across deployments and drive generalization into the core product roadmap.
• Build and maintain a shared playbook of templates, workflows, and prompts.
• Coordinate staffing and workload across deployments and flag capacity gaps.
• Surface pod-wide progress and blockers to product and delivery leadership.
• Stay hands-on to step into deployments when blockers arise.
