Job summary

Foxglove is building data infrastructure for Physical AI, powering robotics fleets with a unified platform for data management, visualization, and operations. We seek a Forward‑Deployed Engineer who thrives in customer‑facing roles and hands‑on delivery to integrate and extend Foxglove in diverse environments.

This role involves 25–50% travel to customer locations, with opportunities to shape product direction and mentor others as the function scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with modern full‑stack technologies (TypeScript/Node.js, React, Python).
• 3+ years in Robotics or Autonomous systems.
• Experience in customer‑facing engineering roles, ideally with robotics exposure.
• Proven rapid prototyping and iterative delivery with external stakeholders.
• Solid grasp of cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand goals, constraints, and requirements.
• Architect and build end‑to‑end solutions using TypeScript/React, Node.js, Python, ROS, SQL.
• Draft scopes, timelines, and success metrics for projects from PoC to production.
• Code alongside customer engineers, deploying on their cloud or on‑prem environments.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success on accounts for seamless delivery.
• Relay insights to Research, Product, and Engineering to influence the roadmap.
• Document best practices and mentor future FDEs to scale the function.
