Job summary

SingleStore is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to operate at the intersection of solution architecture, technical delivery, and customer partnership. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers design, implement, and scale real-time data solutions using SingleStore, while leading both strategic conversations and hands-on execution.

You will engage with enterprise clients, translate objectives into technical plans, and drive end-to-end deployments from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, solution engineering, or technical consulting (pre-/post-sales).
• Strong foundation in databases, distributed systems, or software engineering.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade solutions in customer-facing environments.
• Experience integrating complex systems across data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans and drive execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with customers to understand architecture, use cases, and goals, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and implement end-to-end solutions integrating SingleStore into existing application and data ecosystems.
• Lead whiteboard sessions to shape ideas, define architecture, and convert concepts into technical specifications and execution plans.
• Act as a proactive thought partner, guiding conversations and delivering pragmatic solutions.
• Own delivery of high-impact initiatives from concept through production, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Provide hands-on support, including troubleshooting, optimization, and pragmatic fixes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering to align customer needs with product capabilities and roadmap.
• Help customers prioritize and operationalize data initiatives with feasible delivery plans.
• Feed insights from engagements back into Product and Engineering to influence roadmap.
