Job description

Software engineering will keep evolving as AI takes on more implementation work. The most valuable engineers will increasingly be those who can identify the right problems, understand customer needs, and turn those insights into products that deliver results.

Greylock recently led the Series A in a New York infrastructure company building the simulation platform for the next generation of physical AI. Its technology helps robotics, autonomy, and perception teams test physical systems in high-fidelity cloud simulations, so they can iterate faster, catch failures earlier, and reduce expensive real-world testing.

The founding team brings deep experience across AI, autonomy, and large-scale software systems and is building a highly technical, in-person team in New York.

About the Role:

As a member of the Deployments team, you will work directly with engineers building robotics and autonomous systems. You will learn their development workflows, identify high-impact use cases, turn ambiguous requirements into clear plans, and coordinate with simulation, product, and commercial teams to move deployments into production.

This is a compelling early-career opportunity to build experience across engineering, product, and customers. You will support multiple engagements and own problems from initial discovery through implementation, developing the technical judgment and communication skills that will become increasingly valuable as AI changes how software is built.

What They’re Looking For:
  • 1 to 4years of experience in software engineering, customer engineering, technical consulting, solutions engineering, technical program management, or a related role
  • A strong technical foundation in computer science, software engineering, robotics, applied mathematics, physics, or a related discipline
  • Experience writing, testing, or debugging real software systems
  • The ability to understand a deeply technical product and earn credibility with engineers
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience organizing ambiguous information and turning it into a practical plan
  • A track record of taking ownership and following difficult projects through completion
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment
  • An interest in working across engineering, product, and customer problems rather than focusing exclusively on coding
  • Willingness to work in person in New York and travel periodically for customer engagements

You do not need to come in as a robotics, simulation, or physical AI expert. The company is looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, high learning velocity, and the communication skills to connect customers with engineering.
