Job summary

Notion is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead hands-on delivery of complex customer engagements, embedding with enterprise teams to design and deploy production-grade Notion integrations and data pipelines. You will write code, troubleshoot, and guide customers and stakeholders through architectural decisions, ensuring scalable solutions that align with Notion's platform and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in customer-facing or forward deployed engineering roles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, or Python and comfortable writing production-quality code.
• Experience with APIs and data integration.
• Ability to lead technical discovery and translate requirements into executable plans.

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on technical delivery of customer engagements from discovery to end-to-end implementation.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers make informed architectural decisions.
• Design, build, and operate custom agents, integrations, automations, and data pipelines.
• Lead large-scale content and data migrations, including discovery, scoping, modeling, transformation, validation, and post-migration optimization.
• Collaborate with customer engineering, IT, security and business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure value.
• Troubleshoot complex implementation issues across APIs, permissions, and integrations.
• Translate customer challenges into actionable insights for Product Roadmap.
