Job summary

BrickRed Systems LLC in Overland Park, KS, seeks an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions in collaboration with customers and internal teams.

You will translate business requirements into scalable technical designs, deploy production-grade applications, integrate APIs and data pipelines, and guide projects from concept to production while maintaining quality and security.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

This role combines software engineering, AI innovation, system integration, and customer engagement to solve complex business challenges.

The ideal candidate has strong Python programming skills, practical experience deploying Agentic AI solutions, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and business stakeholders to understand workflows, identify pain points, gather requirements, and deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready applications, AI/ML solutions, Agentic AI workflows, integrations, and automations using Python.
• Build rapid prototypes and proofs of concept, incorporate user feedback, and transition successful solutions into scalable production environments.
• Integrate APIs, data pipelines, cloud services, and third-party systems across complex enterprise environments.
• Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, architecture, development plans, and actionable deliverables.
• Apply software engineering best practices, design patterns, reusable components, coding standards, and CI/CD processes.
• Develop and review code, perform debugging, create unit tests, troubleshoot defects, and maintain technical documentation.
• Monitor deployed solutions and continuously improve their performance, reliability, scalability, cost efficiency, and user adoption.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and QA teams to resolve issues and influence product improvements.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, effort estimates, project timelines, releases, and end-to-end delivery.
• Conduct root cause analysis, proactively address defects, and maintain high standards for software quality.
• Provide technical guidance, share reusable knowledge, and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, AI/ML engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.
• Practical experience deploying Agentic AI solutions in real-world or production environments.
• Proven customer-facing or business-facing experience, including requirements gathering, stakeholder management, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations.
• Experience developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining production-grade applications and APIs.
• Understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and cloud-based application development.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, coding standards, testing, debugging, and release management.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work onsite at the T-Mobile office in Overland Park, Kansas, under a hybrid work arrangement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM-powered applications, RAG solutions, or autonomous agent workflows in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with AWS services, cloud architecture, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SQL, data pipelines, data platforms, and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience with system design, application architecture, high-level and low-level design, and data modeling.
• Background in telecommunications or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and establishing engineering practices.
