Job summary

idler is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own the end-to-end product pipeline, turning real partner work into evals and RL environments. You will manage technical and relational lifecycles with researchers, labs, and organizations, and translate needs into robust, reusable infrastructure.

You should excel in fast-paced, customer-facing roles with strong engineering foundations and excellent communication, ready to travel and work onsite in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering foundation from a rigorous technical environment.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript and building production systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Track record of high performance in pursuing goals.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product pipeline—maintain a clear model of customer demand and partnership opportunities, shaping our roadmap.
• Manage both technical and relational sides of the customer/partner lifecycles and advocate for customer needs.
• Build systems and tooling to onboard customers/partners more easily, reducing bespoke work.
