Job summary

Column is hiring its first Forward Deployed Engineer to work on-site in San Francisco, collaborating with customers to design, implement, and optimize banking integrations using Column’s APIs and infrastructure. The role involves hands-on coding, on-site customer work, and close partnership with the engineering team to enhance the platform and developer experience.

You’ll own technical engagements from onboarding to launch, helping customers with architecture, reconciliation, and edge cases in

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals with backend/APIs focus.
• Ability to own customer engagements end-to-end.
• Comfort writing production-grade code and shipping features.
• Ability to translate field learnings into product improvements.
• Excellent communication with engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and launch products with Column's banking stack.
• Be technical owner for strategic customers from onboarding to launch.
• Write production-quality code and accelerate integrations.
• Translate field patterns into API/docs/developer-experience improvements.
• Advise customers on compliant and resilient financial products.
