Job summary

Supero is seeking a platform-focused developer to model new business domains monthly, build apps on Supero, and intentionally break them to report what fails. You will own end-to-end app construction across diverse domains—healthcare, commerce, logistics and finance—and work with the platform team to diagnose and fix root causes.

This role sits between engineering and customers and directly informs the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building full applications across front end, back end, and data models.

• Strong data modelling.

• MCP fluency, client side at minimum.

Model a new business domain about once a month, build the whole application on Supero, then break it on purpose and tell the platform team exactly what gave way.

Why this role exists

You would model a new business domain about once a month - clinical trials one month, insurance claims the next - build the whole application on Supero, and then break it on purpose and tell the platform team exactly what gave way. It is the shortest feedback loop in the company and the most reliable source of truth we have about our own product.

Sixteen applications are live on Supero today. Each exists to answer a question no roadmap can: does the platform actually work for this?

What you'll own

• Build real applications on Supero - over MCP from your own AI editor, or in App Studio - across genuinely different domains: healthcare, commerce, logistics, field operations, finance.
• Then break them. Multi-tenancy, RBAC, the state that has no happy path, the connector that returns 200 and zero rows. Find where the platform gives way.
• File the finding with a diagnosis, not a complaint. Your bug reports are a primary input to the platform roadmap, and they get acted on.
• Reference implementations and demos. The apps you build become the ones developers copy and customers are shown.
• Close the loop with engineering. You are the person who can say "this is the third app where that pattern was painful" - the sentence that gets things fixed.

What we look for

• 2+ years building full applications - front end, back end, data model, deploy. Agency, freelance and self-taught backgrounds are genuinely welcome here; range matters more than pedigree.
• Range over depth. You have built in more than one domain and you enjoy the first week of a new one.
• Strong data modelling. You model a new business domain roughly every month, and the model is where the app lives or dies.
• AI-native development. You already build with Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot as a daily tool, and you know when to stop trusting it.
• MCP fluency, client side at minimum. This is the role where MCP is not a bonus line - it is the day job.
• A tester's instinct. Building it is half the job; finding where it breaks is the half we are paying for.

Where this goes

This role sits between engineering and the people using the platform, which makes it the widest aperture in the company. It leads naturally to platform engineering, to solutions leadership as the customer base grows, or to product. The build challenge below is, more or less, this job - if you enjoy doing it, you will enjoy this.
