Job summary

scalr is hiring for a Forward Deployed Engineer role in NYC/SF, offering $200k–$300k base plus variable compensation and meaningful equity at Series A. You will work directly with customers, deploy production-grade AI systems, and contribute to core product direction.

You will combine software engineering with customer collaboration to turn vague requirements into impactful solutions, owning outcomes end to end and spending substantial time in customer environments to guide the product roadmap.

Growing team, confidential for now, backed by top tier VCs, building agentic AI systems that sit inside how companies actually generate revenue rather than alongside it.

Forward Deployed Engineer, but with genuine product ownership. You won't just be implementing against a fixed spec, you'll be working directly with the customers using the product and feeding what you learn back into what gets built. You'll write production code, design systems, and ship real technology, while spending enough time inside customer environments to understand where the product actually needs to go next.
