Job summary

Neon is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to scale the partner engineering function. You will collaborate with sales and customer success to onboard developers, own our customer-facing documentation, and build new features for our customers.

You will help shape the direction and standards of the team. Based in Seoul or willing to relocate, you will work with a global team and communicate in English and Korean, contributing to Neon’s mission to make game publishers independent and successful on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in partner engineering or a similar customer-facing engineering role.
• Experience writing and maintaining API documentation for complex technical products.
• Experience with, and willingness to flex into, full-stack product development to handle customer requests.
• Highly productive with strong ownership and ability to deliver results.
• Experience leading teams or projects and helping others grow their skills.
• Located in or willing to work from Seoul, South Korea.
• Fluent in English and Korean.

About the Role

Neon is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who will scale the partner engineering function. You’ll work alongside our sales and customer success teams to build and manage developer onboarding, own our customer-facing documentation, and build out new features for our customers. You’ll also shape the direction of the team: manage how the team grows and set the standards for your teammates at Neon.

What We’re Looking For:

• You have 5+ years of experience in partner engineering or a similar customer-facing engineering role.

• You have experience writing and maintaining API documentation for complex technical products.

• You have experience with, and are willing to flex into, full-stack product development to manage specific customer requests.

• You are highly productive, able to take ownership of key initiatives and deliver results.

• You have experience leading teams or projects and enjoy helping others level up their skills.

• You’re located or willing to work from Seoul, South Korea.

• Must be fluent in English and Korean

Our Process

We have designed our interviews to be as efficient and effective as possible, so once you pass our initial screen, please prepare for 4-6 hours of interviews across 3 rounds over 2 weeks.

Hiring Manager Screen: 30 min

Gain a better understanding of the Neon business and the engineering team.

Project Take-home Review: 1 hour

We’ll give you a take-home to work on; once you’re done, you’ll walk through it with our engineering team.

Onsite Interview: 4 hours

• Two 1-hour technical sessions with our engineers to walk through a coding and/or systems design exercise.

• One 1-hour session with our head of customer success.

• CEO Meet & Greet: 30 hour
