Job summary

Renaissance Geek in San Francisco is seeking a senior engineer who will own deployments from discovery to a dependable production workflow. You’ll work directly in customer codebases to integrate our tools with their design systems, CI, review practices, and agent workflows.

You’ll bring senior-level judgment, ownership, and broad full-stack capability, partnering with customers to ship robust solutions and document decisions while enabling repeatable processes for future work.

Job description

Our tools have to earn their place in real teams, with existing codebases, design systems, delivery processes, and constraints. You’ll work alongside enterprise customers and partners to make that happen.

You’ll help teams adopt Impeccable and Impeccable PRs, build integrations, and automate how they make and review software. You’ll write code, work through unfamiliar systems, and stay close enough to see whether the result helps.

What you learn belongs back in the product. You’ll bring recurring problems, useful patterns, and working improvements home so the next customer starts further ahead.

What you’ll own

• Take customer deployments from discovery and repository setup through a working, dependable production workflow.
• Work directly in customer codebases to integrate our tools with their design systems, CI, review practices, and agent workflows.
• Help partners build their software factories: repeatable processes for planning, generating, checking, reviewing, and shipping software.
• Build the integrations, automations, and fixes that remove adoption barriers. Own the result beyond the demo.
• Teach teams how the workflow works, document the decisions, and leave them able to run it themselves.
• Turn field experience into reusable tooling, product contributions, and concrete priorities for the team.

What we’re looking for

• You bring senior-level judgment and a track record of owning work from an ambiguous problem through a shipped result. You set priorities, make sound tradeoffs, and know when to involve others.
• You have deep expertise in something and curiosity that extends well beyond it.
• You see what needs doing, exercise judgment, and follow through without waiting for a perfectly defined brief.
• You already use AI tools in your work, question their output, and stay responsible for the result.
• You’ve shipped production software and can get productive in an unfamiliar full-stack codebase.
• You can lead a customer engagement from an unclear problem through production delivery, make sound technical decisions, and recognize when to bring in the wider team.
• You can work directly with customers, discover the real problem, and communicate tradeoffs without hiding behind jargon.
• You’re comfortable with APIs, Git, CI/CD, and debugging across application and infrastructure boundaries.
• You’re already using AI coding tools and can help a team build a workflow they understand and trust.
• You like the combination of hands‑on engineering, teaching, and time with customers.

Location and travel

San Francisco preferred · US remote by exception. Be available for at least 2–3 trips per month as needed to work with customers and partners.
