Job description

We are founder-led and at our size that means you're in the room with them, on the calls, in the decisions, shaping the product and the pitch. As one of our first 50 employees, you'll play a crucial role in building on our culture rather than inheriting one. We argue to learn, not to be right. We ship fast, because working beats perfect. When we lose, we learn from it; when we win, we win together.

Your title is where you start, not where you stay, and there's room to grow into the work you're drawn to. Our team is 50/50 men and women with over 12 languages spoken.

If that sounds like your kind of team, we'd love to meet you.

About the role

We’re looking for a senior engineer who works where customer problems, messy data and AI meet. You’ll own customer problems from the first conversation to production. That means figuring out what customers need, building integrations that pull SKU, inventory, transaction and invoice data out of ERPs and legacy systems, and making sure every AI-driven output is correct and auditable. You’ll work across engineering, product and customer-facing teams. You’ll also help set how we build: clean code, AI-assisted development, and a healthy skepticism about where AI belongs in financial workflows.

Location: US (Hybrid: On-site)

In this role you will:
  • Own customer problems end to end. Take a vague customer ask and drive it to a shipped solution without waiting for a spec. Pick up the work nobody assigned when it matters.
  • Find the real problem. Run discovery with operators and executives to look past what customers ask for and find what will make them successful. Turn scattered, conflicting feedback into clear requirements the team can build against.
  • Design solutions with customers and engineers. Agree on scope, tradeoffs and risks with stakeholders up front, so there are no surprises at go-live.
  • Build data integrations that hold up. Move and reconcile SKU, inventory, sales and invoice data across ERPs, legacy systems and modern data stacks. Handle undocumented sources, partial data and backfills as a matter of course.
  • Lead rollouts to production. Coordinate implementation across Wisy and customer teams, own the launch, and stay with it until it’s delivering value.
  • Make correctness a first-class requirement. Build validation, exception handling and reconciliation into every workflow, especially where AI touches operational or financial data. Know when an AI step shouldn’t be used.
  • Prove impact. Measure and report results to day-to-day users and executive sponsors in terms they care about.
  • Be the voice of the customer. Bring field insights back to Product, Engineering and Sales so what you learn on one deployment improves the next ten.
Required skills:
  • 3–5+ years in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, implementation or other customer-facing technical roles
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and integrations against enterprise systems (ERP, inventory, POS, order management, accounting)
  • Comfort with ambiguity, plus a track record of owning projects from first conversation to production
  • Strong technical and systems intuition, enough to reason about architecture, data flows and failure modes with engineers and customers alike
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience with Node.js, PostgreSQL or MongoDB is a plus.
  • Experience building with LLMs and daily use of AI-assisted development tools, plus healthy skepticism about where AI belongs in a workflow
  • Excellent communication in conversation, writing and design docs. You can explain a data model to an engineer and a rollout plan to a skeptical VP.
  • High ownership and low ego. You have empathy for customers and can still hold the line on scope.

No new work visa sponsorship (citizens, permanent residents, or existing H-1B/O-1/L-1/H4 EAD/TN transfers only).
