Citigroup is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead AI transformation initiatives, partnering with business owners and tech leaders to reimagine core processes using AI agents. You will prototype innovative AI-powered solutions, translate requirements between business and engineering teams, and drive adoption across multiple business contexts.

The role emphasizes creating reference solutions, mentoring others, and leveraging Citi's growing AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on technical experience (software engineering, data science, or ML engineering).
• Deep hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents; ML concepts (supervised/unsupervised).
• Experience in NLP and data modeling.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication to bridge business and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze current processes and identify AI-driven opportunities.
• Design and prototype AI-powered solutions including POCs and MVPs for feasibility and value.
• Translate requirements between non-technical users and engineering teams.
• Stay current with AI landscape, tools, techniques, and best practices in ML/NLP.
• Define KPIs to measure ROI of AI initiatives.
• Create documentation and train users for successful adoption.
