Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced leader to manage a team of Forward‑Deployed AI Engineers across marketing, data science, and analytics. You will drive priority setting, obstacle removal, and ensure strong collaboration with other functions.

You will also partner on hiring, develop team capabilities, and establish playbooks for successful forward‑deployed AI work, translating complex AI concepts for VP‑level audiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing people in AI, data science, ML, or related technical field.
• Knowledge of agentic systems, knowledge graphs, RAG, context window management, tool use.
• Experience with marketing/marketing technology organizations.
• Proven ability to develop people and grow engineers' capabilities.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for VP/executive audiences.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple functions and collaborators.
• Active user of AI tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 6–8 Forward‑Deployed AI Engineers embedded across marketing, lifecycle marketing, data science, and marketing analytics functions.
• Identify the highest priority work, clear obstacles, raise the quality of what they build, and ensure effective collaboration across functions.
• Partner on hiring and develop team capabilities.
• Establish the playbook for successful forward‑deployed AI work.
