Jobtailor seeks an experienced engineering leader to stand up a second AI-forward practice and deliver a next-generation platform from architecture to operations. Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering and architecture with hands-on coding.
• 5+ years leading technical teams, including hiring from the ground up.
• Strong hands-on depth in modern web development: JavaScript, HTML, React, Vite.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and performance at scale.
• AI-forward engineering leader with accelerated delivery using AI tooling.
• Experience delivering in regulated high-trust environments (banking/financial).
• Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, and integration with C++/C# systems.
• Experience managing cloud spend and cost optimization.
• Excellent communication with executives, product leaders, engineers, and stakeholders.
• ERP/enterprise systems experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Stand up a second, AI-forward engineering practice — hire, structure, and lead the team responsible for delivering Flexi’s next-generation platform
• Own delivery of the next-generation platform end to end, from architecture through development, QA, release, and ongoing operation
• Hands‑on player‑coach: code, review, and lift the bar by example
• Lead the team’s use of AI to accelerate delivery, embedding AI across coding, testing, and documentation
• Build on modern web technologies — JavaScript, HTML, React, Vite; backed by Microsoft SQL Server
• Maintain enterprise standards: security, reliability, resilience, data integrity
• Partner with the CTO to define architecture standards and platform direction
• Establish engineering discipline: coding standards, testing, CI/CD, observability, release practices
• Manage cloud platforms and cloud spend; optimize cost without sacrificing scalability or security
• Hire, onboard, develop engineers; identify future technical leaders
• Define and own engineering KPIs around delivery velocity, reliability, performance, and cost
• Partner with Product to ship roadmap to customers
