Job summary

Signature Aviation is hiring an AI Platform Architect to design, build, and operate the Azure foundation powering enterprise AI initiatives. You will embed with business units, ship real platform capabilities, and generalize learnings into reusable services.

The role emphasizes hands-on platform engineering, securing and scaling LLM workflows, and delivering production-grade AI capabilities across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software, cloud, or platform engineering with hands-on work.
• Built an AI/ML platform used in production by multiple teams.
• Kubernetes and distributed systems depth with strong cloud networking and security.
• Azure is required: Foundry/Foundry Models catalog and Azure OpenAI.
• Experience with LLM gateways, token metering, and model routing.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the shared enterprise AI platform and reference architectures for LLM apps.
• Establish reusable patterns for agent state, memory, persistence, and orchestration.
• Define standards for authentication, authorization, schema validation, policy enforcement and auditability.
• Build and operate the enterprise AI gateway/model proxy using Azure API Management or equivalent.
• Build shared retrieval capabilities and patterns for ingestion, embeddings, vector search, metadata and reranking.
• Develop model evaluation frameworks with datasets, metrics, and regression suites.
• Build and operate the Azure AI foundation with secure networking, RBAC, Key Vault, and CI/CD.
• Work as Forward Deployed Engineer with business teams on real AI use cases.
• Generalize deployments into reusable platform services, SDKs, and engineering standards.
