Job summary

AET Federal Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions for government and enterprise customers. You will bridge AI capabilities with customer missions, translating complex requirements into secure, scalable production systems.

This role requires strong software skills and hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, REST APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. Collaboration with diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, solutions engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI agent development.
• Experience working with REST APIs, SQL databases, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand workflows and mission requirements for AI-driven automation.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
• Write production-quality code in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for AI solutions and integrations.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise and government systems via REST APIs, connectors, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Support integrations with platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, and others.
• Lead technical implementation activities for AI pilots and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize AI solutions for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, data, and program teams to meet requirements.
• Provide technical feedback to improve AI capabilities and solutions.
