Job summary
Bausch + Lomb in the United States is seeking a Head of Forward Deployed Engineer to turn AI pilots into production capabilities across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality. You will lead a small FDE team and work with AI Delivery, Data, and IT to deploy production-ready AI solutions in real environments.
The role requires 10+ years in software engineering, hands-on development in Python and cloud platforms, and a track record shipping production code while driving adoption and value across
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and deploy AI-enabled solutions (generative AI, agents, ML, workflow automation) that run reliably.
- Own the path from prototype to production: testing, user acceptance, security & compliance review, release, monitoring, and post-deployment support.
- Apply validation and documentation practices appropriate to a regulated environment.
- Work side by side with plant leaders, planners, buyers, and quality teams to understand how work is actually done.
- Run workflow assessments, identify high-value use cases, and redesign processes around AI.
