Job summary

Jobtailor in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Network Administrator to support and secure client network infrastructures. You will work with Fortinet products, design and implement network solutions, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with Fortinet devices, strong routing and switching knowledge, disaster recovery planning, and solid communication skills. Domestic travel and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on Fortinet networking and security product experience.
Strong FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAnalyzer experience.
Minimum 3 years managing cybersecurity advisories, vulnerabilities, remediation.
Solid understanding of routing, switching, wireless technologies, and security best practices.
Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity planning.
Public sector experience preferred.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Willing to travel and support after-hours maintenance windows.

Responsibilities

Support the client's network infrastructure as a Network Administrator.
Manage cybersecurity advisories, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
Troubleshoot complex network environments and cybersecurity remediation.
Work on Fortinet networking and security products including firewalls, switches, and analyzers.
Engage in network design, implementation, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure network security best practices are followed.
