Job summary

Jobtailor in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Network Administrator to support and secure client network infrastructures. You will work with Fortinet products, design and implement network solutions, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with Fortinet devices, strong routing and switching knowledge, disaster recovery planning, and solid communication skills. Domestic travel and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Fortinet networking and security product experience.
• Strong FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAnalyzer experience.
• Minimum 3 years managing cybersecurity advisories, vulnerabilities, remediation.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, wireless technologies, and security best practices.
• Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity planning.
• Public sector experience preferred.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Willing to travel and support after-hours maintenance windows.

• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment.
• A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
