The City of New York Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is seeking a Computer Systems Manager to lead IT infrastructure and security operations in Brooklyn, NY. Open to City employees; the position may involve overtime due to a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science from an accredited college or university.
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible IT experience, including applications development, systems development, data communications and networking, or database administration.
• At least 18 months in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity in IT.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered, with the minimum 4-year high school diploma and 3+ years in IT leadership required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and optimize Fortinet infrastructure deployment at various agencies.
• Perform security measures to ensure IOS on all devices are updated with latest versions and patches.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and work with internal and external teams to ensure secure, reliable and efficient network operations.
• Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Education

Master's degree in computer science

4+ years of progressively responsible IT experience

Bachelor's degree alternative with 4 years of experience

High school diploma with 6 years of IT experience
