Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Firewall Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise-grade firewall environments. The role emphasizes Fortinet/FortiGate hands-on work, rule management, and rapid response to service requests.

You will collaborate across teams to design and implement firewall infrastructure, handle NAT/object groups, and ensure high-availability in a 24/7 setting. Hybrid onsite/offsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of networking experience.
• Recent and extensive hands-on Fortinet/FortiGate experience.
• Strong experience creating and managing firewall rule sets.
• Experience adding/modifying firewall rules and object groups.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement, and support firewall infrastructure service requests.
• Create, modify, and delete firewall rules, NAT rules, and object groups.
• Perform ongoing firewall configuration and operational support in an enterprise network.
• Translate technical/business requirements into network security solutions.
• Support Fortinet/FortiGate technologies and related services.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver network infrastructure solutions.
• Manage multiple service requests and quick turnarounds.
• Troubleshoot firewall and network issues and resolve escalations.
