Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a hands-on Network Specialist II to own and support our on-premises network infrastructure in Shelbyville, TN. You will manage FortiGate firewalls, VPN tunnels, and network security, working within a small IT team to ensure uptime and performance.

Preferred candidates have FortiGate, SSL VPN, and IPSec experience, and are willing to work 100% on-site with after-hours support as needed. Local availability for F2F interviews is required.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on FortiGate firewall administration including policies, NAT, access controls, firmware updates
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SSL VPN and site-to-site IPSec tunnels
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, and network security
• Experience troubleshooting outages, VPN connectivity issues, and degraded performance
• Familiarity with Windows environments and Active Directory
• Ability to work 100% on-site in Farmington Hills, MI
• Willingness to participate in after-hours response to critical network issues
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Manage FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, and FortiAPs
• Maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and network segmentation
• Administer SSL VPN and IPSec tunnels
• Monitor WAN connectivity and network performance
• Manage dual ISP connections and failover
• Support Cisco switching and UniFi wireless bridges
• Troubleshoot outages and conduct root cause analysis
• Coordinate firmware updates and network security maintenance
• Participate in critical incident response as needed
• Document support activities in the ticketing system
