Job summary

Bachoco Group in Fort Smith, AR seeks a Poultry Litter Technician to manage litter levels in chicken houses before and during flock placement. This position is safety sensitive and requires attention to detail and reliability.

You will work with supervisors and service technicians to transport supplies and support multiple locations daily, ensuring compliance with company policies and animal welfare standards. No prior experience is required; training provided.

Summary

Performs litter management. Ensures litter levels are set up correctly in chicken houses, prior to birds arriving and during the flock.

• Performs litter management. Ensures litter levels are set up correctly in chicken houses, prior to birds arriving and during the flock.
• Monitors and responds to bird behaviors while maintaining communication with Supervisor. May collect weight and uniformity of the flocks.
• Works with supervisor and service technician.
• Performs all other duties as directed.
• Takes supplies to growers to include vaccines, wormer, chick paper, rodent control, etc.
• Visits several assigned locations throughout the day.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Education and/or Experience

No prior experience or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
