Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) at Fort Sill is seeking a Truck Driver to transport personnel between local pick-up and drop-off points, conforming to SOPs and strict safety standards. The role is on-site with a retention bonus after 90 days.

Requirements include: CDL-A with air brakes, REAL ID license, two years of tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to pass DOT/physical and background checks. Candidates must meet health and security screenings and maintain logs and safety records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• REAL ID-compliant state driver’s license.
• CDL A with air brakes endorsement (no restrictions).
• Two years of experience operating a tractor trailer.
• Clean driving record for past seven years.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
• Ability to obtain CAC and pass DoT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, and follow all DOT, OSHA, and installation safety rules.
• Load and unload personnel safely using proper equipment and techniques.
• Coordinate with supervisor to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with general support tasks as assigned.
• Comply with installation access and security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and system updates (Tonnage Reports, DPAS, LMP).
• Assist with general support tasks and other duties as assigned.
