India Abroad is actively seeking a Formwork Specialist in Washington to oversee the construction formwork process. You will read blueprints, assemble formwork, and monitor concrete curing to ensure safety and structural integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Formworker or in a similar construction role.
• Strong knowledge of formwork materials, techniques and safety protocols.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans accurately.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary.
• Attention to detail with excellent measuring skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine formwork specifications.
• Measure, cut and shape materials according to specifications.
• Assemble formwork using tools and techniques such as welding, bolting and fastening.
• Install braces and other supports to reinforce formwork.
• Pour concrete into formwork and spread evenly.
• Monitor concrete curing process to ensure proper setting.
• Remove formwork after concrete has set and clean the area.
• Inspect formwork for defects or damage that may affect structural integrity.
