Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders is seeking a Carpenter (Formbuilding/Formsetting) II to support concrete structure construction in Lake Charles, LA. The role involves reading blueprints, cutting and setting forms, and coordinating with the team to ensure safe, accurate formwork as concrete is poured.

The position requires 5+ years of form carpentry experience and proficiency with hand and power tools, layout tools, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of form carpentry experience and knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in formwork.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans (blueprints) to determine form requirements.
• Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and square using levels, lasers, and measuring tools.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in formwork.
• Remove formwork after concrete has cured.
• Inspect and maintain formwork for safety and usability.
• Assist with the concrete pour process.
• Perform all tasks efficiently and safely.
