Job Description

Summary:

Utilize AutoCAD to design and produce safe, detailed formwork drawings for project teams. Prior experience in formwork design is required, including understanding formwork capacities, pour pressures, tie loads, and wood form design. Proficiency in AutoCAD is necessary; experience with 3D modeling is preferred. Skills in reading construction plans, math, time management, and critical thinking are essential.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Create safe and efficient formwork designs for field teams
• Draw concrete structures from contract drawings
• Identify inconsistencies and errors in drawings
• Generate 3D models of complex structures
• Collaborate with site supervision to solve problems and optimize formwork
• Work with Form Shop during assembly
• Calculate formwork pressures, shoring, and tie loads

Education And Experience

• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Previous formwork design experience
• Knowledge of 3D modeling (preferred)
• Broad construction understanding

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to read construction plans
• Strong math, time management, and critical thinking skills
• Self-motivated
